Drew Turner responds to Sharon Raiford Bush's ludicrous restraining order filing

First, the article was obviously written by Mr. Ford without doing even the basic journalistic research by contacting Mr. Turner to get his side of the story. Second, Mrs. Bush is clearly using this medium to emotionally vent and play the victom. She comes across like ALL men are attempting to attack women even when nothing disrespectful has been done.

Mrs. Bush claimed that Mr. Turner wrote her employer to complain about her unprofessional behavior. This is true. A full copy of that complaint is reprinted below. She next listed that Mr. Turner continued to harrass her through a client. This is false. The truth is the Raul Julia Levy, one of Ms. Bush's cient, initiated the contact by writing Mr. Turner to attack him o ferrari illac">cadillac n Facebook, which obviously came in reaction to him learning about Mr. Turner's letter. According, Mr. Turner stood up to Mr. Julia. The entire affair is just an example of Hollywood elite joining together in cult-like fashiong to suppress Mr. Turner's voice. Filing a restraining order was silly because the entire event ended after Raul's contacted Mr. Turner. Mr. Turner has not attempted to contact Ms. Bush and has no interest in contacting her. Ms. Bush is simply ashamed of her own behavior.

Here is the original complaint written about Ms. Bush:

"I have a complaint about the behavior of one of your employees, Sharon Raiford Bush. I am a film producer and Founder and the Chicago Film Producers Alliance. I friended Wesley Snipes and Raul Julia Levy on Facebook, and then eventually Sharon as a result. Sharon reacted in an irrational way to my response to a post on her Facebook page. She posted an article about a new law in West Hollywood that makes it illegal to get puppies from breeders. I simply asked what will happen with full breed puppies...and she wrote back "I don't give a rats ass". I was surprised at this "over the top" response.  and I replied that I understood her reply was "passionate" (because she likes animals) and she claimed I was demeaning her because she is a woman -- which is crazy. I never insult women like that. Sharon tried to explain her "rats ass" comment as being a chinese delicacy...which was disingenuous, which I simply acknowledged as a courtesy.

Immediately following this exchange, Raul, Wesley and Sharon unfriended me on Facebook. Wesley and Raul where not a part of the original exchange. So, the only way they would know is if Sharon informed them to malign my reputation -- which has caused me considerable damage in the future should I attempt to work with Wesley and Raul in the film industry."

The lady is whacko, in my opinion.

She also wrote an unsolicited message to me on Facebook to inform me that I didn't have enough personal accomplishments and to connect with her in the future. I f bmw ound that message unprofessional and highly inappropriate – given that I never asked to be in your magazine and did not ask her personal opinion of my life. I guess having an engineering degree, legal degree, having worked for several Fortune 500 companies, running a nonprofit and running my own business for 7 years isn't enough. That's more than 80% of the people in the country!"

Uranium Mining Claims Threaten the Grand Canyon

PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 26, 2011– There are just a few days left (May 4) to share your opinion about the potential to permit new uranium mines on public lands adjacent to Grand Canyon National Park. On July 20, 2009, Secretary of the In rc helicopter and car market place terior Ken Salazar issued a two-year segregation order limiting new mining claims on approximately one million acres of federal public lands adjacent to the Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP) in the Kanab Creek area and in the House Rock Valley managed by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and in the Tusayan Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest.  The proposed withdrawal would limit mining to existing, proven claims on these lands.  Secretary Ken Salazar should extend the existing, temporary withdrawal affecting new mining on the nearly one million acres of public lands surrounding the Grand Canyon for twenty years.  More time is needed to find a long-term solution.

Colorado River & Trail Expeditions(http://www.crateinc.com), a Grand Canyon rafting outfitter, is profoundly concerned about mining in and around the Grand Canyon for multiple reasons.  First and foremost the Grand Canyon is the most amazing place in the world, and it must be protected and preserved, if the Grand Canyon is not worth protecting, then nothing is.  The damage to the quality and quantity of Grand Canyon springs, and the plants and animals that depend on those springs would be very detrimental. Lastly the damage to the tourism economy of the region could adversely affect Colorado River & Trail Expeditions and other touris corsa t based businesses.

Uranium mining in the Grand Canyon area typically involve excavation of vertical and horizontal shafts into, or near, breccia pipes, which are geologic collapse features and zones of historical groundwater recharge.  This breccia pipe-type of uranium mine generates ore along with waste rock that typically is piled on the land's surface until shipment to a mill takes place.  Local precipitation and surface run-off waters can come in contact with this surface uranium ore and transport it into the Grand Canyon via aquifers, springs, and drainages. The toxic Atlas uranium mill tailings pile abandoned in 1984 by the company in Moab, Utah will cost taxpayers $1 billion to remove from the Colorado River flood plain.  The Atlas Mill is one of hundreds of places where uranium mining has left a poisonous footprint on our landscape, leaving 16 million tons of radioactive mill waste leaking into the Colorado River, the drinking water supply for 25 million people downstream alfa romeo .

There is a real potential for uranium contamination to occur in the creeks, seeps, and other tributaries that supply water to GCNP.  Metropolitan Water District of Los Angeles and Southern Nevada Water Authority have voiced their serious concerns about possible contamination of the Colorado River if uranium mining is permitted around the Grand Canyon.

In addition to quality of water, uranium mines will deplete water all together.  The mines use water, which is usually supplied form wells or imported from springs.  Water is necessary for mining operations to support drilling, potable water supply and sanitation needs.  Wells in the Grand Canyon are typically 2000 feet deep and tap into the Redwall-Muav aquifer that supplies most of the springs in the Grand Canyon including Thunder River, Deer Creek and Stone Creek.  If all mining claims in the Grand Canyon region were turned into active mines and used the same amount of water as projected by the Canyon Uranium Mine (Canyon Uranium Mine EIS, 1986) the resulting water would be over five times the use of the city of Flagstaff and would decimate the Grand Canyon's springs and all of the plants and animals that depend on the water.  One mine alone could suck several small springs dry.

Tourism, not mining, has been the mainstay of the region's economy.  Northern Arizona University conducted the Grand Canyon National Park Northern Arizona Tourism Study in April 2005.  The study found that visitation to the Grand Canyon provided $687 mil car news lion annually in direct, indirect and induced revenues into the local economy, and employs 12,000 FTEs direct, indirect and induced.  The Canyon averages five million visitors annually making it the key regional economic engine for Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.  Polluting the Grand Canyon with uranium mines and their tailings would destroy this economic windfall from the Earth's most beautiful Natural Wonder. The Grand Canyon is a national treasure that belongs to all of us, and it is our responsibility to protect it for the next generation. Let's take the necessary steps to protect the canyon, and our tourism-dependent economy.

AVEVA's Neil McPhater, Product Marketing Manager – Interoperability, and WorleyParson's Randy Williams, Vice President – Integrated Systems, will examine how ISO 15926 interoperability has resulted in more efficient lifecycle asset management at a major U.K. North Sea J-Block project being designed by WorleyParsons.

McPhater and Williams will specifically examine how the EPC sought to improve the quality of front-end engineering design at ConocoPhillips' Jasmine Field platforms by managing inconsistency between P&ID and the 3D plant model. Using AVEVA's ISO 15926-compliant AVEVA Schematic Model Manager, AVEVA Schematic 3D Integrator and AVEVA PDMS, WorleyParsons took advantag bmw e of its existing investment in P&IDs from other software vendors.  The result was a more efficient engineering process that realized significant cost savings.

Smart Utilities survey reveals lack of confidence among Smart Utilities Professionals regarding 2020

The results of this survey reveal that only 38% of industry professionals think that the 2020 target will be met. The respondents were also questioned about what they see as the biggest challenge in terms of introducing smart utility technology and the biggest concern for 41% of respondents is knowing which technical solution to select. It was also stated that convincing the consumers about the value added for them can be a major challenge.

Another part of the survey focused on the security of smart utility technology. For 64% of organisations involved in smart utilities, security was stated as a concern. 39% even consider the security issues as a "serious concern".

PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 14, 2011– MAYFIELD, Pa.—April 14, 2011—The Pocono Northeast Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council,  a non-profit organization committed to the preservation and protection of natural resources within a framework of economic growth, has put out an urgent call to its board members, partners, supporters and community beneficiaries to save the program from federal budget cuts that threaten to make it impossible for the organization to continue its work. RC&D provides a number of very valuable programs to residents of 10 counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.

"We have not done this in the past, but it is critical that we make a significant effort in getting our message out to the communities, citizens, and groups that have used our service corsa s and assistance," RC&D Council Chairperson Brian Oram said in a letter released earlier this week. "In 2010, we, Pocono Northeast RC&D Council, leveraged our support by over 403%! Our program is the most cost effective means of creating jobs, implementing change in the community, and making environmental improvements throughout the US."

The RC&D Program funding has been slated for zeroing out for FY 2012 and for the current continuing resolution for this year.  Currently there are two versions of the continuing resolution being considered: the House version has the RC&D Program zeroed out; the Senate version has $25 million allotted. The RC&D Program is currently funded at $52 million annually.

Fukushima Highlights Russia "Safe Nuclear" Marketing

PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 10, 2011– The 1986 nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl was truly a trial by fire —

and one that is now a key part of Russia's nuclear marketing message — cynical as that might seem.

In April that year, as workers and engineers scrambled to keep the plant's molten radioactive uranium from burrowing into the earth —

the so-called China syndrome —

a Soviet physicist on the scene devised a makeshift solution for containing remnants of the liquefied core.

Teams of coal miners working in shifts tunneled underneath the smoldering reactor and built a platform of steel and concrete,

cooled by water piped in from outside the plant's perimeter.

In the end the improvised maneuver — a so-called core-catcher — was not needed.

The melted fuel burned through three stories of the reactor's basement but stopped at the foundation —

where the mass remains so highly radioactive that scientists still cannot approach it,

but have walled it off as much as possible in the sarcophagus pictured above.

Although 25 years later Chernobyl remains the radiation calamity by which all subsequent nuclear accide cadillac nts will be measured,

Russia's state-owned nuclear power company, Rosatom, audi is selling around the world.

That includes a contract the company signed with Belarus last month,

Opportunistic or not, in recent years the Russian nuclear industry has profited handsomely

by selling reactors abroad, mostly to developing countries.

despite their vows to proceed even more cautiously in light of Japan's disaster.

And though Fukushima Daiichi provides a new opportunity to stress the message,
