RMS Gas Pump Interface Meets California ISD Requirements with Both Approved ISD Systems

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 23, 2011 - LAS VEGAS, NV, August 23, 2011 -- Fuel management systems provided by RMS Retail Marketing Solutions, Inc. meet all requirements for ISD in the state of California, with both approved ISD systems:  the Veeder-Root; and the INCON from Franklin Fueling Systems.

"In-Station Diagnostics" (ISD) systems are required in California gas stations, to monitor fuel vapor recovery equipment.  They connect with existing vapor leak monitors on underground fuel tanks, identify failures automatically and notify the station operators.

Similar requirements may take effect in other states in the near future.

This system works with both types of Automatic Tank Gage (ATG). • It sends status information to the ATG for inventory and leak detection reports. • If the Veeder-Root ATG is installed, it provides notification of the start and end of each sale.  Information on each sale transacti rc helicopter and car market place on is fed to the Veeder-Root ATG using the "Environmental Management Console" (EMC) protocol, emulating Gilbarco's G-Site POS solution. • If the INCON Vapor Recovery Monitoring (VRM) option is installed, it verifies that equivalent vapors are recovered from the vehicle when fuel is dispensed.  Vapor containment space pressure is constantly monitored, and recorded sales transactions are compared to data read from the vapor flow meters. • This enables the ATG to directly turn the pump off immediately, if it detects an issue with vapor recovery.

As the series progresses, features like blogs, forums and chat rooms will be added to the site, offering safe places to discuss "what auto part ever."   The producers also plan to work with organizations and foundations that deal with teen issues.

According to Whatever creator Matt McLaren, "In many ways, teens are writing this show.  All of the stories are based on real life experiences that I've learned about from talking openly with teens. What I found is that a lot of today's tee acura nagers live, to an extent, an adult lifestyle – which causes a great deal of challenges for them.  Instead of following the history of shows that sensationalize the first time a teen encounters, for example, alcohol, sex or drugs, I'm jumping into the middle of the story; after all of these 'rites of passage' have already occurred and been assimilated into their daily lives, I'm asking, 'what happens now?'"

The report found that there was no significant difference between a vehicle running on Opal fuel and the same vehicle running on regular unleaded 91.

Tailpipe emissions Using ADR 79/00; the standard testing design rule for measuring tailpipe emissions; Opal fuel was compared to regular unleaded 91. Emissions measured were unburnt hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). Using the average of three runs, the tailpipe exhaust emissions for a vehicle running on Opal fuel were equal to or less than the tailpipe emissions of the same vehicle running on regular unleaded 91. The only exception was the Aval aston martin on which showed an increase in NOx. There are exhaust emission benefits from using Opal fuel. Overall, the cars that were run on Opal fuel tested lower for regulated exhaust emissions.

Impact on air quality When vehicle exhaust air toxics were calculated using the USA EPA air toxics indicator model, air toxics were reduced by 45% when using Opal fuel when compared with using regular unleaded 91. Because of its formulation with less than 5% total of benzene, toluene, xylene and olefins, Opal burns very cleanly when compared to regular unleaded 91, helping to reduce air toxics. Typical vehicle exhaust air toxics indices for regular unleaded 91 are 19-22. Opal fuel showed 9-12, a reduction of 45% versus regular unleaded 91.

Fuel economy in cars Opal was tested for fuel economy in line with the testing standard ADR 81/01, and compared to regular unleaded 91. Testing showed a minor decrease in fuel economy in cars between Opal fuel versus regular unleaded 91. However the reported variation of 0.3 litres per 100km is within the normal variability for petrol grades and can vary depending on car maintenance and driving styles.

She became a writer, publisher and in 1984, became a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers).

Ms. Rushin is the owner of Busonic Publisher, which specializes in marketing and selling CD's. Will KKR, Munich Re T-Solar Investment Kickstart Renewables M&A In Spain?

The Spanish solar market has been experiencing some strange goings-on of late, most notably KKR and Munich Re's investment in Grupo T-Solar's 168MW Spanish and Italian solar portfolio.

The deal – one of the largest investments in an operational solar PV portfolio in the renewable energy sector's short history - took place against the background of increased regulatory pres car news sure in the country's solar market.

The bulk of installed solar PV plants installed in Spain are subject to Real Decree 661/2007, the legislation most affected by the Spanish government's change in law enacted at the end of 2010. Under the new law, plants under this decree – typically built and connected to the grid before the end of 2008 - have had a cap put on the number of hours they are entitled to a premium feed-in tariff for energy generated.

The move effectively takes 30% off the revenues of plants built under the decree for the next three years, and 10% thereafter, though government extended the length of time plants could collect the tariff from 25 years to 30 years to soften the blow. Developers that constructed plants on a highly levered basis – with 80% to 85% in debt financing - are seen as most at risk from the change in law, as the cut in tariff and therefore revenue makes it extremely difficult to service debt.

Reasons For Investments Given these constraints, how can investments such as KKR and Munich Re's in Grupo T-Solar be explained?

The answer, in part, is due to the large number of owners willing to put assets on the market. In the main, they have been driven to do so because asset prices and general market conditions have shown no signs of improving. Investors in such assets are faced with the option of sticking it out for the long-haul or crystallising some return on investment now.

Owners also have development pipelines which cannot be constructed without additional equity. For instance, Isolux has long been looking to sell a stake in Grupo T-Solar to drive its development pipeline. Isolux had planned on listing its solar division in 2008, which would have been one way of raising fresh capital. However, with markets obviously not conducive to a buic cadillac k n IPO, particularly that of a renewable energy entity, Isolux has had to find alternative sources of equity.

The 429 Horsepower 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec Sedan - Gartner Hyundai Reviews

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 10, 2011 - Ok, I've never actually been in the cockpit of a Space Shuttle at launch time.  However, I have had the pleasure of driving the new 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec Sedan with the Tau 5.0L V-8 engine that produces 429 horsepower and 376 lb-feet of torque.  And, after my initial test flight (drive), I would say that the Genesis R-Spec http://www.gartnerhyundai.com/hyundai-genesis is probably a close second to a space shuttle launch, and quite possibly a step above a roller coaster in terms of speed and power.

All kidding aside, though, the Genesis R-Spec is definitely a joy to drive. The R-Spec provides a nice balance between the smooth, soft ride of a Luxury Sedan and that of a performance based vehicle, whether that car be a coupe or sedan.   The Genesis sedan, with all 429 horses, delivers Power (yes a capital P) whenever the driver demands.  0-60mph, 35-55 mph, or for those speed demons, 65mph to "Infinity and Beyond"....  OK, maybe a slight exageration on the last one, but oh well, just trying to get a point across.  

Contrastly, even though the R-Spec delivers more than ample power, this luxury sedan from Hyundai hasn't forgotten its roots. The overall ride of the Genesis R-Spec is right on par (if not above) with the competition.  When driving at a normal pace, the Genesis seems to glide seemlessly over the road, exterior noise is virtually non-existent, and the driver and passenger seats literally welcome its occupants like a concierge at a 5-star hotel.

I think Warren Bush of the Washington Post summed the Genesis R-Spec up best.  "The car speaks for itself.  It moves you - quickly, smoothly, minus all of the macho-boy exhaust noises some manufacturers find mandatory chevrolet in the production of performance automobiles."

He also exclaimed, "The overall Genesis R-Spec package is well worth the price -- lots of power exquisitively delivered, deft handling that rivals anything in its class, a beautifully appointed passenger cabin of supple leather and wood-grain accents gifted with every conceivable electronic amenity, all at a base price under $50,000.  That's remarkable, simply remarkable."

And finally, yes, acura as Mr. Bush is exactly right in terms of price.  The R-Spec starts off at an MSRP of $46,500 (before destination), and because just about every possible feature in the car is standard equipment, $46,500 is pretty much the ceiling also.  Just some of the impressive standard features are: an 8" Touch Screen Navigation System, a 528 Watt - 17 speaker Lexicon Stereo System with an in-dash 6-disc DVD Changer, 19 Inch Sport Wheels, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, Smart Key with Push Button Start, Rain Sensing Wipers, Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning System, Rear Electronic Parking Aid with Camera, Heated AND Cooled Seats, and a Power Glass Tilt and Slide Moonroof, just to name a few.

SEI Now Offering Solar Business and Technical Sales Training

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 05, 2011 - Carbondale, Colorado – United States – August 2, 2011 – Colorado-based Solar Energy International, known for solar certification and technical training in renewable energy, has added a solar business and technical sales training class to their already extensive list of courses available this year. It is designed specifically for those who are interested in going into the sales and marketing end of the solar en dodge ergy industry, as opposed to working in a technical capacity. In a statement released this morning from their main campus in Carbondale, a spokesperson for SEI explained how this course is another piece in their goal to involve more young people in the evolution of renewable energy.

"SEI is focused on spreading the word about employment and career opportunities in the renewable energy sector," said the company spokesperson. "We've been offering NABCEP certification courses and solar installation training for some time now. Now we can also offer sales and marketing training for those who want to get into the field, but don't want to work in a technical capacity. In November 2010, SEI began offering a free course called RE 100: Intro to Renewable Energy. It was created to spark interest in their paid renewable energy courses and also as a vehicle to do market research on what students wanted in the way of new courses. Students not technically-inclined did show interest in being able to sell renewable technology and help expand companies looking to grow in what at the time was a very difficult economic environment. This was seen as a top priority by SEI.

"Renewable energy is the best hope for the future, but what happens here in the present will determine whether it's successful or not," said the company spokesperson. "Offering sales and marketing training now will help make that future a little brighter. The technology for energy efficient and cost-effective solar and wind is available, even without government subsidies. The industry just needs someone to sell that technology to those who can benefit from it. In a few months, we'll have more men and women with training who will be able to do that. That should help the solar industry to finally be more competitive with oil and natural gas."

Infotechnics Win Slovakian Contract & Strengthen Presence In European Energy Market

This latest project award follows the success of a previous Opralog deployment to MOL's Danube refinery in Hungary.  Following the success of Opralog at the Danube refinery Slovnaft approached Infotechnics with a view to expand the deployment to include the Bratislava refinery.  

The Slovnaft site in Bratislava has a requirement for an electronic shift logging system as the company are keen to move away from paper based systems and standardise the way in which operational information is collected and reported.  The current system in place involves a myriad of documents, spreadsheets and databases.  Opralog will improve the flow of information, minimising the loss of knowledge, and allowing direct communication and fe rc helicopter and car market place edback across the Slovnaft plant.  Speaking of the recent deployment Slovnaft's Head of Process Information Imre Csonka said "Opralog ensures more effective communication between shifts, and facilitates our objectives of improved reliability, safety and efficiency".  

Opralog is the market leading operational logging and reporting tool, providing a flexible and configurable platform to capture and report on key operational data.

Speaking of the award, Infotechnics Business Development Director Jon Howard said "We are delighted that MOL Plc has extended their use of Opralog and selected it for their Slovnaft refinery.  Opralog will provide a central database for key operational information with a quick and easy method of capturing data allowing it to be automatically shared, reported and accessed.  This will reduce much of the manual effort, duplication and human error often found in plant logs and reports. Being in Slovakian, this is yet another great example of the multi-lingual capabilities of the system, which will enable us to achieve our target of moving into new markets supplying Opralog to clients in Europe and the rest of the world.
