ScottMadden will be Key Presenter and Moderator at 80th Annual UPMG Conference

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 24, 2011 - ScottMadden, Inc., will be a key presenter and moderator at the 80th Annual Conference of the Utility Purchasing Management Group (UPMG) at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky. This event, from Sunday, September 18th to Tuesday, September 20th, will discuss Clean Coal Technologies, Sustainability, Supply Chain Optimization, Aging Infrastructure, the Impact of the Electric Car, Demand Planning, Smart Grid, Transmission Support Expansion, and the Future Challenges to the Mission of Public Power Providers.  

John Sequeira, Partner at cadillac wsmatic.com/category/aston-martin">aston martin ScottMadden, will speak during the General Session on Monday, September 19th at 1:30pm. He will present results of the 2011 Utility Warehouse and Inventory Benchmarking Study. The study is sponsored by the Utility Materials Management Benchmarking Consortium (UMMBC) and administered by ScottMadden. Sequeira will highlight performance benchmarks for materials management and profile the differences across business units (fossil generation, nuclear generation, CT generation, transmission and distribution.)

Andy Flores, Partner at ScottMadden will participate on a panel discussing lessons learned from materials management system implementations. Also on the panel will be Andy Hill of Oniqua MRO Analytics, Rick Crosby of Southern Company, Robert Butler of Constellation Energy, and Eric Cloudt of CPS Energy. The panel will examine the organization structures, practices and supporting technology that have allowed leading utilities to gain better control over their inventory.
